Working out what brick is best for your room

We have many brick styles and shades. From straight white to black and everything in-between. We have a wallpaper that is bricks with a paint coat over it. We also have our Red Brick wallpaper that is a very tidy organised new-looking brick and we have a more rustic run-down brick called dark brick. This is more of an industrial style.

Our white brick looks like it has had a coat of paint over it. This makes it more realistic if we wanted to add colour to the wallpaper because it will look as though the paint over the brick is coloured not the bricks themself. This makes it a lot more realistic. Adding a colour tint to the white brick would add a fun flair to the room. Check out our peach brick wall above for example. It has a very subtle undertone of colour so you can still notice the brick detailing.

If you would like a mock-up of any of our brick patterns in a slightly different shade of colours send us an email. We will be more than happy to send you a digital mock-up.
We can shrink or enlarge the size of the brick to fit the space of the room. This works very well when you have a play kitchen or house for your kids and you want it shrunk or if you have any extra tall wall and don’t want the pattern to be too overwhelming so you can enlarge it.

Is your paint finish on your walls eggshell, wash and wear, low sheen, low VOC?

Our wallpaper has a self-adhesive backing. This is what makes our wallpaper removable, repositionable and reusable. However, the self-adhesive can sometimes not react well to eggshell, wash and wear, low sheen, low VOC paint finishes. We would recommend you check the paint finish you have on your walls before purchasing a full wall of wallpaper.

If you do have one of these finishes or you are not sure what your paint finish is then we would highly recommend getting a sample first. If you leave it on for 48 hours and the sample is still up on the wall then our wallpaper will work perfectly.

If the wallpaper sample does fall off your wall we have a stronger version that will stick on these finishes called high tack. We have three material options. Standard, Block out and High tack. Our block out wallpaper is slightly stronger than our standard and could stick to your walls. We would recommend getting a sample of the block out also if you know you have one of the paint finishes above. This could be a good solution if you are defiantly looking a wallpaper that you need to remove without taking off the paint. However, if you are okay with something more permanent our high tack is a great solution for any wall that has the above paint finishes. It is a lot stronger but after a few hours it becomes permanant on your walls and you would need to remove it like traditional wallpaper. If you would like a sample of this, send us a message.

Custom make wallpaper to fit draws and smaller spaces

Have you ever really wanted particular piece of furniture or area to stand out in your room? Or you just want to add an extra design element to your room so it looks more styled and put together? Here are some examples from our customers. Both these orders were custom made to fit into the smaller areas so they were not paying for wallpaper they would not use and customisation cost no extra. However, if your not sure on how much you want to cover or where you want to put the wallpaper pattern then you can always order a full 96 or 56inch tall pieces and cut it up to fit.

Add a small piece of wallpaper to an otherwise ordinary shelving or furniture can really give it an x-factor. Adding some of our wallpaper to an old piece of furniture can really change the whole look and make it a lot more trendy! However, our wallpaper can not be used for a surface area as our wallpaper would get worn down fast by having thing rub up against it constantly. We would also recommend adding our waterproofing coat if it will get touched often. The waterproofing coat allows you to wiped down the wallpaper with a damp cloth to get rid of any fingerprints and smudges. The wallpaper below is seen on the lift up shelving below. This client asks for us to design a dog quote wallpaper to fit her dogs room.

Bring blue into your homes!

The colour blue has a calming effect on us as humans. Something we all want to feel in our home. So why not bring a little or a lot of blue into your home. There is a blue hue that works for every style! You just have to find the right one for you.

Because the colour blue is so calming it makes it perfect for studies, Nurseries, bedroom, anywhere really as the home is a place you want to feel at peace. Depending on what kind of blue you go for you can either make the room lighter and look more spacious as seen in the photo above. Or you can make the room cosier and closed in with a darker moodier colour.

As there are so many different blue hues to work with there will defiantly be one that will fit perfectly into any room. A soft duck egg blue is very popular at the moment as it is very verist. However, if you want to make a bit more of a statement you could go for a classic navy. This is a great colour as it never out dates and goes well with a lot of other hues.

Styling the perfect nursery that can then adapt to a children’s bedroom with ease

Nurseries are a place for your child to grow, learn and play. You want to create a space that makes all these things easily. With these wallpapers below you can make a space that is creative and fun, allowing the child’s imagination to grow, while still making a room that is stylish and sleek.

Go for a style that is fun and creative but is easily adaptable and will grow with the kid. From cot to a big kid bed and even into the teenage years if you pick right! Make the transition in the room smooth. Keep the more expensive pieces like furniture and larger decorations and only change out the toys e.t.c. for maturer decorations.

The best way to pick a wallpaper that will mature with your child is to pick a pattern that has a nice balance between sophisticated and fun. If you got too childish or to mature its not going to fit. Our Animal print pattern seen above is a great example of fun but sophisticated. The same goes for the Teepee and arrows pattern below. These are photos from our client showing how they adapted this wallpaper from Nursery to big boy bedroom.
